This fulfilled the requirements of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Certified Software and Tools Program, that the Dashboard includes accurate GRI Sustainability Reporting Framework content.
The Dashboard helps companies collect auditable data on four of the core environmental performance indications identified by the GRI for energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, including direct on-premise fuel consumption and the carbon footprint of their power usage with utilities and other vendors.
This certification verifies that the GRI content within the Dashboard is correctly applied and that reporting is encouraged, so companies using the Dashboard can rest-assured that their reporting is in accordance with the GRI Guidelines.
Nelmara Arbex, Deputy Chief Executive of Global Reporting Initiative, said: “We’re glad to add the Environmental Sustainability Dashboard for Microsoft Dynamics AX to the list of GRI Certified Software. The GRI Certified Software and Tools Program guarantees that software providers are giving their users – people who prepare sustainability reports – accurate GRI content. Microsoft and its clients are on the right path to monitoring sustainability issues, ultimately promoting improvements to sustainability practices.” The Dashboard is one of only four technology products to have received this certification so far, and is the only solution specifically for mid-sized organizations.
