After receving many spam mails cluttering my emils I was delighted to learn that the BBC reported that Police in India arrested six Nigerian men suspected of defrauding hundreds of people using email and text messaging scams, to trick people into believing they had won a lottery.
The police seized 14 laptops, seven memory sticks and 23 mobile phones, as well as fake documents and cash from the suspects, who will remain in custody until 12th January.
Security firm Kaspersky recently revealed that India sent out more spam than any other country in the world – and that 14.8% of all spam email sent in the three months prior to the end of September had originated in India..
